The Southern Poverty Law Center tracks hate groups currently active in the U.S. They have published a map on their website that can be used to identify and keep tabs on any in your town or state.
All hate groups have beliefs or practices that attack or malign an entire class of people, typically for their immutable characteristics. Hate group activities can include criminal acts, marches, rallies, speeches, meetings, leafleting or publishing.
The list was compiled using hate group publications and websites, citizen and law enforcement reports, field sources and news reports. Groups that appear in the center of states represent statewide groups.
